This week, we’re talking about kids. Maybe your kids. Do they wear weave? How young is too young? Fashion lays it down… Feb 28, 2016 | Posted by Fashion Hendricks in Podcast | 4 comments Comments (4 Responses) Marie says: February 29, 2016 at 1:55 pm Hey girls….that incident with the baby and the clip ins was hilarious. I almost fell out my chair. Unbelievable. On a side note, you two need to do a Meet & Greet or symposium All About Weaves in a few select cities please. This podcast is so helpful and is a service to the hair community. Your first city needs to be Miami since I am here, lolll. Keep up the good work lades. Topic idea please: -I LOVE when you and Desiree get into it about Self Maintenance and relationships (taking off wigs etc, lolll). I see both of your points. But I would appreciate an episode dedicated to self-maintenance in today’s busy everyday living; including night time hair routines that are practical and still flattering if you have a mate. Fashion please include some “Hair Hacks and Tips” to help the busy everyday woman achieve a polished look without loosing 2 hours of her morning and night. Reply Kel says: July 13, 2016 at 10:13 am I’m late to this, and I realize the style doesn’t apply to me, but my 12 year old niece is from Uganda, and this is something my sister Colleen is starting to deal with. As Mary hits middle school, she’s eyeing famous people with weaves. At 12, I would think she’s too young for it, but do you think high school age would be ok? Reply Fashion Hendricks says: July 13, 2016 at 2:44 pm Hi, 12 is still too young for weaves. Possibly satisfy her with trips to the hair salon getting wash and sets learning how to take care of her own natural hair via education from her stylist. Every now and then allow her to add a ponytail similar to her natural hair texture but only on special occasions.
